In Season Right Now: Bing Cherries, Red Plums, Rainer Cherries, Black Plums, Yellow Nectarines, Donut Peaches, Tuscan Melon, Black Apricots, Ogan Melons, Saturn Peaches, Champagne Grapes, Galia Melons.


Locally Grown: #4702, Locally Grown Cavaillion, 20#, Grown out of Los Angeles County.


Tomato Report: Tomatoes are in good supply with production increasing out of California. Mexican tomatoes are available out of San Diego. Prices and supplies are steady on Cherry and Grape tomatoes.

Lettuce Report: Romaine continues to have quality issues, specifically mildew and fringe burn, in addition, prices are starting to rise. Iceberg supply is steady and prices are firm. All lettuces are expect to start to rise in price due to the reduced acreage planted during the summer .    

Berry News: Strawberries are now heading toward a downward production and prices are expected to become higher. Stem strawberries are in limited supply. Raspberries and Blackberries are in plentiful supply; prices have come down. The blueberry harvest is now in full production in Oregon and Washington.

Fruit Report: Due to the recent warming trend we will see an increase in supplies for Honeydews and Cantaloupes. Check out Hot Sheet Specials. Watermelons are in plentiful supplies, and prices are at great buy. Valencia oranges are in tight supply. Red & black plums and white nectarines are in good supply. Prices remain high for California Hass Avocados due to the fifty percent reduction of crop for this time of year. Limes are in good supply on all sizes, and prices are at a good buy. Pineapple supplies are good and prices are firm. Smaller size (165’s, 200’s) lemons are in limited supply and prices will remain firm to the end of the summer.

Vegetable Report: Cauliflower prices have doubled, and are expected to remain high for the next few weeks. Bunched Broccoli and Broccoli crowns are still at a great buy. Asparagus is in plentiful supply. Green Onions and Leek prices are at a great buy with good supply. Italian parsely continues to be in tight supply. Spring Mix, Organic Iceberg, Baby Spinach, Mache, and Arrugla are all in good supply. Availability continues to improve for yellow onions, due to the increase supply coming out of Washington. Steady prices for jumbo red onions. Prices are easing downward for green bell peppers. Red and gold bell peppers prices are slowing trending downward as well. Eggplant prices are firm.

As with all fresh fruits and vegetables, the market could change daily . . .
