Tomato
Report: Supplies have improved for Round tomatoes, in addition, prices are starting to trend downward. Roma tomatoes are cutting production due to the recent oversupply and prices will start to trend higher through the month of July. Cherry and Grape prices are steady. |

Lettuce
Report: We are now in summertime harvest for iceberg and leaf lettuces. Greenleaf is plentiful supply and prices are great. Romaine is still seeing a reduction in yield due to fringe burn, internal burn, and mildew. Prices are still high and are expected to be high for the week.

Berry
News: Strawberry availability has improved, and supplies, prices, quality are all good. Blueberry supplies have increased, resulting in prices starting to trend downward. Blackberries are in good supply and prices are still at a good buy. Raspberries continue to be tight in supply and prices are still high. |
Fruit
Report: Cantaloupe and Honeydew supplies have improved due to the recent warm weather conditions, in addition, prices have also began to trend downward. Watermelon pricing has began to come down due to the increase production out of the San Joaquin Valley. Large sized Valencias (72’s & larger) will be in short supply through the end of the summer season. Pineapples are in good supply, with heavy production out of Mexico. The apricot season is almost over. Black plums are in good supply. Quality is great on Cavaillon and Sugar Queen melons. California Hass avocados supplies are steady and prices are firm. Grapes are in good supply, with late season production still continuing out of Nogales and Coachella. |
Vegetable
Report: Production has increased for green bell peppers. Red and Gold bell peppers are in extreme tight supply; in addition, prices are extremely high. Bunched Broccoli and Broccoli Crowns are in good supply. Cauliflower supplies are fair but pricing is starting to trend upward. Celery is in oversupply and prices are at a great buy. Mixed Vegetables are in good supply, including green & red cabbage, bok choy, napa, snow peas, kale, cilantro, curly parsley, and spinach. Leek is in tight supply. Onion market is still very active with supplies being outweighed by demand; the market is expected to continue to be this way through the middle of July. |
