In Season Right Now: Spring Garlic, Ramps, Stinging Nettles, Mangosteen, Spring Onions, Passion Fruit, Rainbow Carrots, Clementine’s Yellow Carrots, Romanesco, Cara Cara, Pommelo, Muskat Grapes, Kumquats.


Locally Grown: Sweet and Seedless Pixie Tangerines, Item #4403, Grown out of Ojai, CA.


Tomato Report: Prices have dropped on Roma, Grape, and Cherry tomatoes. Due to Nogales ending we will be seeing an increase in pricing for large round tomatoes.

Lettuce Report: Pricing for Iceberg and Romaine lettuce is good, as well as, supply. Leaf lettuces are starting to come down in price. The heat wave that occurred this past week has caused fringe burn in Romaine.


Berry News: Check out this weeks Locally Grown Strawberries special. Great price with a sweet quality. Due to the heat wave from last week, Growers are removing Strawberries from the plants in all stages. High prices due to tight supplies are continuing for California Raspberries and Blueberries. Good availability and price on Mexican Blackberries.

Fruit Report: Supplies have tightened for late season Naval oranges, especially for small sizes (88’s, 113’s, and 138’s) Lemon supplies will be good to the end of summer.  We are near the end of the season for Minneolas, Blood Oranges, Cara Cara, and Tangerines.  Pricing for Cantaloupes and Honeydews are dropping due to supply increasing in Nogales.  Watermelon from Mexico are in good supply.  Prices are coming down for Granny Smith and Gala apples.  The recent heat wave in California has not affected the avocado crop, in addition, oil content in the fruit is increasing and taste continues to improve.  The lime crop is in a transitional phase between growing areas in Mexico, causing a shortage on sizes 175 and larger, but improved availability and favorable prices on the smaller 230s & 250s.  Kiwi from California is in good supply. 

Vegetable Report: Broccoli and Broccoli Crowns continue to be in good supply. Cauliflower availability has become a little tighter due the heat wave. Carrots are in good supply and price. Green onions, leeks, cilantro, kale, spinach and curly parsley are in good supply. Supplies have tightened on Italian parsley due to seeder and sun damage. Spring mix and organic mixed vegetable items are in good supply. Quality is excellent as the harvest transition to growing areas in Central California is complete. The market is steady for Idaho Russets; demand is moderate. Prices are very competitive for all onion varieties, yellow, red and white.

As with all fresh fruits and vegetables, the market could change daily . . .
