 Tomato
Report: Nogales is reporting supply issues, which is causing prices to rise on round tomatoes. Roma tomatoes are still the better buy. Grape tomatoes are starting to take off in price, and cherry tomatoes are holding firm. |
 Lettuce
Report: Early season quality for iceberg in Huron is expected to be very good, while quality is holding well for the late harvest in the desert. Romaine and Leaf Lettuce supply is good and prices are holding firm.

 Berry
News: Check out this weeks Locally Grown Strawberries on special. Great price with a sweet quality. Raspberries and Blueberries are in tight supply, as the season winds down in Mexico and Chile. Blackberries are in good supply and good quality and seem to be the best buy. |
 Fruit
Report: California navel oranges are in great supply, as weather conditions have become very favorable. Lemons are in good supply; we are near the end of the season in the desert districts of Southern California and Arizona. Limes are still high in price due to tight supply in Mexico, but the better buy is the 200’s or 230’s size. Grapefruit (Rio variety) is available in California, along with Minneola’s, blood oranges and cara cara’s. Pineapple from Central America is in good supply. Steady supplies of cantaloupes and honeydews are being reported from Central America, including Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras. Watermelon production is gradually improving, as the harvest has begun in the northern districts in Mexico, including Sonora and Hermosillo. |
 Vegetable
Report: Prices are starting to take off for broccoli and cauliflower as the season winds down in the desert and in Mexico. Asparagus is in good supply, with the harvest in full swing in Mexico and in various districts in California. Green onions are in good supply along with leeks, cabbage, parsley, kale, napa and bok choy. We have steady supplies and excellent quality for spring mix. Baby spinach continues to be in tight supply, with prices still high. Carrots are in good supply and good pricing from either California or Mexico. Broccolini will be in short supply through early April. Cucumbers continue to be in short supply, as production in Mexico has dropped significantly. Red and Yellow Bell Peppers continue to be in good supplies, and green bell peppers are improving.
