Tomato
Report:
Round and Roma tomatoes are in good supply in Nogales, while prices for tomatoes in Florida have advanced to a moderate premium compared to the Mexican product. Grape tomatoes are taking off in price. |
Lettuce
Report: Romaine lettuce is in good supply and price is very good. Greenleaf and Redleaf lettuces are both in good supply and price is a good buy. The Iceberg market is coming down and supply has improved.

Berry
News: Due to cold weather conditions and rain strawberry prices have risen, and are expected to continue to rise till Valentine’s Day. Blueberries are coming out of Chile and are in good supply. The supplies for raspberries are improving but prices are still a little high. In addition, Blackberries are improving in supply and price. |
Fruit
Report: Apples are in good supply, especially on Braeburn, Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, and Red Delicious. Cantaloupes and Honeydews are still high in price and in tight supply. Due to weather condition and tight supply watermelons are high in price for both seeded and seedless. Pineapples are in tight supply and coming from Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Panama. Stone fruit is available from Chile. A new crop of seedless grapes is available out of Chile resulting in prices starting to come down. Bartlett, Bosc, and D’Anjou pears are available right now. Grapefruit has good quality and firm prices. With Superbowl weekend fast approaching Avocados are starting to take off in price with the increase in demand. |
Vegetable
Report: Asparagus is in good supply and at a great price. Check out our Asparagus special this week. Bunched broccoli and Broccoli Crowns are in good supply. Cauliflower prices are coming down. Carrot prices are firm, as the harvest transition from the San Joaquin Valley to the Imperial Valley is now upon us. Green onions are in plentiful supply, with good supplies on other mixed vegetable items, including kale, parsley, cabbage, cilantro, leek, bok choy, napa and snow peas. Spinach is in tight supply for various shippers, while others have reduced prices to normal levels. Availability has returned to normal for spring mix, baby spinach, mizuna and arugula.
