 Tomato
Report:
The market has come down. Larger size tomatoes are showing improved signs of color and quality. Roma market has come down, but color is still an issue. In addition, yellow tomatoes are small in size, and high in price. |
 Lettuce
Report: Iceberg market is still high due to tight supply, because of the rain we had. Romaine market is very steady with good quality and great supply. Redleaf and Greenleaf market is stable with good quality.

 Berry
News: Strawberries are getting better in quality, but supply is still short. Raspberries are still holding firm, but prices are starting to rise. Blackberries and Blueberries are still a good buy. Check out our Hot Sheet for this week’s special on Blueberries and Blackberries. |
 Fruit
Report: Cantaloupe market is having some struggle with small sizes due to production issues, but larger sizes are available. Honeydew is extremely tight and will be through this week and possibly next week. Golden Kiwi is available. Stone fruit is available; fruit is getting larger and quality is improving. Oranges are having supply issues on small sizes, but larger sizes are available. Chilean grapes are in tight supply this week. Pineapple Guava is available. Also, organic Ambrosia apples are available. Chilean cherries are still available, and quality is still good, but Rainer Cherries are having quality issues. Stem and Leaf tangerines are still tight supply due to recent rain. Figs are almost done, and quality is fair. Lime prices will be high for the next couple of weeks. Lemons have a good supply on 95’s thru 115’s, but the smaller sizes 165’s and 200’s supply is tight. |
 Vegetable
Report: Artichokes are in tight supply. Broccoli and Cauliflower are coming in poor quality and high prices. Celery has poor quality and tight supplies. White corn quality is good, and yellow corn quality is bad. Prices are starting to come down on Haricot Vert Beans. Cucumbers are in good supply and holding firm on price. Eggplant market remains steady with no changes. Potato market is starting to see production slow down due to cold temperatures. Green Bell Peppers are holding firm on price and quality is good. Colored Bell Peppers are holding strong on quality but prices are starting to take off. The carrot market is steady and harvesting is good. Onion prices on holding firm.
