Tomato
Report: Roma’s are plentiful in the market, but color and quality is still a problem. The larger tomatoes are still taking off in prices, but quality is still in issue. New crop has started harvesting in Mexico, but supplies are limited. |
Lettuce
Report: Iceberg is having strong quality issues due to cold weather; heads are light and puffy. Romaine is starting to see improvements especially on quality and size.

Berry
News: Strawberries are still having severe quality and supply issues due to rain and cold conditions. Expect high prices till January. Raspberries are holding firm on price but expect higher prices next week. Blackberries are still a good buy with great quality. Blueberries are level with good quality. |
Fruit
Report: Cantaloupe market is holding firm and stable. Offshore product is starting to come into the market but small sizes are still in short supply. Honeydew market is starting to move up in price and offshore product is slowly coming in; the Mexican crop is starting to wind down with Nogales being tight till January. Red Seedless grapes are starting to rise in price. Green seedless grapes are unchanged this week. California Naval prices are increasing due to cold weather conditions. The Bartlett Pear season has ended with Bosc and D’Angou being in full swing. Blood orange prices are coming down and quality is starting to improve. Figs are almost done, quality is fair and prices are up. |
Vegetable
Report: Green Bell Peppers prices are unchanged, and expect to stay firm through the holiday season. Red Bell Pepper and Yellow Bell Pepper are rising in price; Coachella season is coming to an end due to the rain and cold weather. Asparagus market is stable. Broccoli prices are starting to rise, expect higher prices through the holidays. Cauliflower market is starting to rise. Celery market is elevated; rain has delayed harvesting in Mexico. Cucumber prices are rising. Rain and cold weather temperatures are causing Florida to slow down its harvesting. Onion market is steady and quality is excellent. Squash market is level; Florida has been inconsistent. Prices are high on Snap and Sugar Snap Peas. Haricot Vert prices are high and quality is poor.
