In Season Right Now: Pomegranates, Fuyu Persimmons, Blue Foot Mushrooms, Golden Raspberries, Baby Purple Artichokes.

Locally Grown: Locally Grown Organic Brussels Sprouts, Item #4763, Grown out of San Juan Batista, CA

Tomato Report: Roma tomatoes are still firm and steady, in addition, to pricing holding firm. Unfortunately, we are starting to see prices increase due to a high demand on the other tomatoes.

Lettuce Report: Iceberg market is starting to take off with some quality issues following.  In addition, Romaine lettuce is up but we are hopeful quality will improve next week

Berry News: Strawberries are a challenge due to weather conditions.  We are offering 8 x 1# clamshells until we see quality improve.  Stem Berries are available but at a high price due to short supply and high demand.  Blueberries have good quality with pricing starting to take off.  Raspberries are starting to take off in price, but quality is good.

Fruit Report: The melon market is taking off.  Cantaloupes are high in price but very very low sugar content.  Honeydews are still the better buy but you will start to see higher prices as demand increases.  Stone fruit is starting to be seen throughout the market, but it is still in the beginning stages and is coming out of Chile.  Lemon market is starting to take off, and be on the look out for slightly higher price on the 140 and 200 counts.  Mexican avocados are holding firm, with prices steady.  Black Figs are coming to an end soon, but Brown Turkey Figs are a great alternative. We are seeing some nice quality on the first pick of California Satsuma and Stem/Leaf Tangerines.  Pineapple is also a good buy this week with sugar content being high.  Blood Oranges are starting to be seen in the market but color is light but will hopefully improve.

Vegetable Report:Green bell Pepper is still taking off in price.  Asparagus is starting to take off in price but quality is still good.  Broccoli market is starting to show signs of picking up in price.  Cauliflower prices are starting to rise with the demand being strong.  Celery market remains steady.  Yellow corn will be hit and miss until Mexico begins to start harvesting.  Winter squashes are still available but will be ending soon.  Potato market is steady.  Cucumber prices are starting to rise and will be rising till the middle of December.  Gold Bell Peppers are holding but prices will be climbing over the next few weeks.  Baby squash supplies are good but you will see prices starting to come down. Haricot Vert is in short supply right now, prices high, and quality is off.

As with all fresh fruits and vegetables, the market could change daily . . .
